PhD in Molecular biology, Epigenetics, Bioinformatics (m/f/d)

Project description:

Pullamsetti´s lab is seeking a new PhD student in the area of single-cell omics in pulmonary hypertension. Your project will be a combination of single-cell multi-omics data analysis along with various functional assessments to understand the underlying pulmonary vascular and right ventricular remodeling mechanisms in pulmonary hypertension, a cardiovascular and pulmonary disease. The project aims to integrate multi-modal data ( mainly transcripts and epigenetic signals) generated from different animal models as well as human patients, to identify the driver epigenetics alterations and time-dependent dynamics of adaptive and maladaptive remodeling. This PhD project will fulfill the development of a novel (interactive) analysis workflow, as well as applying cutting-edge wet-lab techniques to validate and assess the targets, and also evaluate the clinical applications. The labs of Pullamsetti are located in Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research, Bad Nauheim, and Justus Liebig University, Giessen, Germany. This PhD position is funded by a project of the Collaborative Research Center (SFB 1213). Being part of the SFB 1213 and in the networks of Cardio Pulmonary Institute (CPI) and German Lung Center (DZL), will benefit your excellent scientific collaborations.
