PostDoc Position in Epigenetics (m/f/d))

Area of research:

Epigenetics in Cardiovascular and Lung diseases

Title:

PostDoc - Epigenetics (m/f/d)

Full time, Giessen/Bad Nauheim, Germany

Job description:

Pullamsetti lab’s special focus lies on understanding the molecular and epigenetic mechanisms underlying the development of pulmonary hypertension, a cardiovascular and pulmonary disease. The project involves characterization and identification of the regulatory enhancers, mapping cell type- specific enhancers, followed by integrative analysis of enhancer-promoter interactions, and cataloging the master transcription factors underlying pulmonary hypertension. During this project, different cutting-edge methods will be employed to generate various epigenomics data and to investigate the therapeutic relevance of identified epigenetic modifications. The labs of Pullamsetti are located in Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung Research, Bad Nauheim, and Justus Liebig University, Giessen, Germany. The PostDoc position is funded by a project of the Collaborative Research Center (SFB 1213). Being part of the SFB 1213 and in the networks of Cardio Pulmonary Institute (CPI) and German Lung Center (DZL), the PostDoc positions will benefit from excellent scientific collaborations.
